HELLO THERE!

It’s been too long… and I am ready to start blogging again.

It’s been a busy summer of moving stuff around! We sold a cottage and we had no where to go with all that was inside! Our garage became our storage. Our oldest daughter moved into her own nest in the city. Our youngest daughter moved into an apartment for her second year in college. The last and easiest move was our son in his college dorm room. I am happy to say that after getting the kids all settled and many trips to the donation center, our cars are back in the garage!

My last post was about my messy linens. By now, the closets are all organized… and I have too many sets of twin sheets!

Before I continue, let me tell you this doesn’t mean the linen closet will be forever organized. I wish, but it’s not really how my life works.  We all have more to do than we have time for, but once I have a system, it’s much quicker and easier to restore order.

All bedding had to fit in this one space. It made the task of deciding what to keep easier because I had a clear limitation.

My biggest frustration with bedding is once it’s all folded I never remember what size everything is. I would unfold, check a tag, and not refold as well and put it back in. After a while everything is messy, again. I decided to tie each sets with a ribbon and put a tag on it. No more guessing.

I have never understood how a linen closet in magazines has perfect rows of sheets all in the same width. Unattainable for me and not my goal; too perfect!

Towels were quick to organize and it’s so easy to make them look good! Just don’t keep more than you need. How many old towels does one need? One… to dry Cooper!

Fall is just around the corner, my favorite season. I am ready to come back inside and continue working on our home. Our list of projects keeps growing! I’ll have lots to share in this second year of blogging. Stay tuned!
